Maison Hardy, established in France in 1863 and currently the #2 cognac in that country, is known for its premium cognacs. This October, Maison Hardy will send its ambassador, Bénédicte Hardy, to Portland.

A direct descendant of the company’s founder, Ms Hardy will hold a very exclusive tasting of five of the company’s top marques (brands) including rare and aged cognacs, at  Multnomah Athletic Club on October 10, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.

These will include the Noces d’Albâtre Rosebud (aged 75 years), Noces d’Or (50 years), XO (25 years), VSOP (8 years), and the VS (5 years), as well as the popular “Revolution” cocktail.

The event will include a guided presentation and tasting, accompanied by hors d’oeuvres (an assortment of specially prepared small plates). The cuisine for this event will be prepared by James Beard-award winning chef, Philippe Boulot, Executive Chef of the MAC. All-inclusive tickets are $65.

The presentation will be in English, but, of course, questions can optionally be addressed in French to Ms Hardy, who is a native of Cognac. Purchase tickets through the Alliance; click here to reserve. (MAC members can order their tickets through the club.)
